And yet I've scoffed about them privately and sometimes not privately enough. I've only recently realized that I shouldn't have been scoffing at all, and that I'm pretty sure I've had friends scoffing about me.

One way we aren't God is that we aren't the all-knowing One that He is, yet we dare be arrogant at times, when it's humility that is owed and is paid instead by the Master.

He understands. Perhaps we'll ultimately fail the people we minister to. If that happens, it may be a weird comfort to know that those people knew all along the true voice of the Shepherd, whose sheep know Him. So we might at worst just be a distraction for awhile (I'd hope that would be the worst-case scenario anyway).

You write in a humble "voice." I'd doubt you are just a distraction.

As a person in my late 20's, I've done much to put many rods in my eyes. I can say I've distracted myself much. If I can pull those out, then I'll probably be strong and be able to be of much help to those who need it with the splinters in their eyes.

I'm sure the Lord can handle it all in the meantime. Going the distance indeed.

:)

- DerrickDerrickhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15739947968361074129noreply@blogger.com
